Fiction Literature Prose

French science fiction - French science fiction is a substantial genre within French literature. Arguably dating back further than English science fiction, it remains an active and productive genre which has evolved in conjunction with anglophone science fiction and other French and international literature.

Augustan prose - Augustan prose is somewhat ill-defined, as the definition of "Augustan" relies primarily upon changes in taste in poetry. However, the general time represented by Augustan literature saw a rise in prose writing as high literature.

Hypertext fiction - Hypertext fiction is a genre of electronic literature found mostly online, characterized by the use of Hypertext which provides a new context for non-linearity in "literature" and reader interaction. The reader typically chooses links to move from one node of text to the next, and in this fashion arranges a story from a deeper pool of potential stories.

Author - An author is the person who creates a written work, such as a book, story, article or the like. This can be short or long, fiction or nonfiction, poetry or prose, technical or literature.

Finding the Middle Ground: Krestovskii, Tur, and the Power of Ambivalence in Nineteenth-Century Russian Women's Prose by Jehanne M. Gheith,

Finding the Middle Ground: Krestovskii, Tur, and the Power of Ambivalence in Nineteenth-Century Russian Women's Prose by Jehanne M. Gheith,
Though among the most prominent writers in Russia in the mid-nineteenth century, Evgeniia Tur (1815-92) fiction literature prose and V. Krestovskii (1820?-89) are now little known. By looking in depth at these writers, their work, fiction literature prose and their historical fiction literature prose and aesthetic significance, Jehanne M Gheith shows how taking women's writings into account transforms traditional understandings of the field of nineteenth-century Russian literature. Gheith's analysis of these writers' biographies, prose, fiction literature prose and criticism intervenes in debates about the Russian literary tradition in general, Russian women's writing in particular, fiction literature prose and feminist criticism on female authors fiction literature prose and authority as it has largely been developed in fiction literature prose and for Western contexts. Both Krestovskii fiction literature prose and Tur published criticism as well as fiction. They were, however, very different in their writing, and, considering their work together, Gheith is able to offer a complex fiction literature prose and nuanced view of the scope of women's fiction fiction literature prose and criticism in nineteenth-century Russia. Her attention to the two authors' biographies -- as strikingly similar as their writing is different -- reminds us of the creative relationship of life to literature even as it reveals the character fiction literature prose and significance that this relationship assumed in the case of women writers in mid-nineteenth-century Russia. With great clarity, thoroughness, fiction literature prose and authority, Gheith's book illuminates the creative worlds of Tur fiction literature prose and Krestovskii, their contributions to debates about the connections between society fiction literature prose and literature, their challenges to more familiar male portrayals of the "social, " fiction literature prose and their proper place in any assessment or understanding of nineteenth-century Russian literature.
